Control length of dough pieces

One application of vision systems is measuring the length of products. One of our customers, a manufacturer of bake-off rolls, found that there was not enough control over the length of the rolls. This caused a lot of products to have to be discarded later in the process because they were not within the desired measurements.

To solve this, we implemented a vision system for measuring the length of each roll. Now each roll is measured and visualized in detail. This to an accuracy of 1mm. The operators can now check the products much more accurately and adjust the machine accordingly.
